Extremely friendly staff who clearly care a lot about their customers. In all honesty this smaller Betty's Cafe is the better of the two - the staff have more time for you, it's quieter and has a lovely intimate feel. Would happily recommend anything off the menu - you can't go wrong! It's also all surprisingly very affordable given the prestige of the Betty's brand.
I love this little tea room! It's so much better than the bigger one up the road - not only is Stonegate an attraction in it's own right but this little tea room is amazing and full of character. I have visited here many times and it's one of the places I always go to when in York. The building is lovely, wonderful tapestries and lovely view of the street if near a window - brilliant on a cold or rainy day. The menu is great! so much to choose from and I've had most of it - coffee's are so full of flavour. Service is outstanding. There isn't one thing on that menu that I haven't enjoyed - It takes me ages to order when I'm there. I would highly recommend this place...it is expensive but it is definitely worth the money for the experience. It gets very busy .

The food & drink were absolutely wonderful. We sat downstairs, my husband, son & I. The children's menu was creative & he was well looked after. We had sandwiches & a scone / strawberry tart for dessert as I'm not fond of tea, so we didn't opt for the afternoon tea! My husband had a pot of tea & ham sandwiches, although simple they were delicious. My poached salmon sandwiches were by far the best I'd ever tasted.
When in York Bettys Tea Rooms is a must visit place for afternoon tea. Everybody knows this and that is why there is usually a queue to get in. I have seen the queue to go almost around the building, that is how popular the place is and with good reason. However you can make a reservation just go on their website. The tea and cakes are exceptional. The staff are very professional and incredibly polite. The atmosphere is brilliant and decor is like stepping back in time to the 1920s. Fantastic place to experience and if you are ever in York an absolute must.

Quaint little place with an ample amount of seating. I had the cinnamon waffle and maple syrup with a latte. The flavor was sweet, fresh, and light. The latte was made perfect. My boyfriend and friend had the salmon English muffin. The menu stated that it came with hollandaise sauce but the sauce was just mayo. Not the best combination with the dish. Our other friend had the English breakfast in a gluten free twist.
Lovely clean cafe/tearoom a short walk from the Lendal bridge. Friendly staff and a good range of food.

The fish and chips from Harry’s are excellent. The best quality of fish I have come across. Lovely and clean with friendly staff and great service. Offer take out, eat in or evening deliveries. They do a great value for money eat in offer which is fish, chips, a side order and a cuppa for a great meal out at a really reasonable price. Highly recommend A++++++
The portions are very generous, and the batter on the fish, it just melts in your mouth. I must indulge at least once a month. Superb !

I do e joy an occasional trip to Wackers the prices are good the food is nice. They serve "proper" chips that take me right back to my nans dinner table as a kid. For the more mature out there they do an exceptionally well priced older persons deal
Great service provided with welcoming and warm customer service. We had breakfast there and it was delicious. We got the full English breakfast, which comes with a free cup of delicious coffee. Definitely recommend!

I order from here all the time. They have a really great menu and it's all reasonably priced too. Their chow main is my favourite from any where. Delivery is always on time or early too. This is my go to takeaway for Chinese food now and the quality is always consistently good over the two years I’ve been ordering from here.

Even though this restaurant is a chain, the food feels authentic. My dad is obsessive about the dumplings so we come here and eat a lot. The crispy duck is fabulous. I highly recommend the salt and pepper baby squid and the chilli beef. The decor is nice and the service is efficient.
Price may be a little high for some, but value for money is outstanding, as is the quality and variety of food. There are dishes on the menu here that I've never seen anywhere else. Very highly recommended!

The food was absolutely DELICIOUS but the delivery man was very rude and has upset me. If you want good food, go here. If you want good service, don't bother! I must re-itterate though, the food was tasty.

The outside looks a little like a convenience store but inside decor makes up for this. There is a shared parking area in front of the building. Check signage for pay and display. The inside is stylish and spacious, and can cater for any size party. The staff are friendly. Plenty to chose from on the menu and the prices are much the same as other Indian restaurants. Marked a 3 star only because at the end of the meal we were given a desert menu and then forgotten about, which we put down to the fact they had a party of 20 arrive at that time. Wouldn't have ordered a desert anyway so didn't spoil the evening. Still shouldn't have happened but understand why it did. Enjoyed the meals we did have.
Simply it was ok. It want the best curry I ever had. Portions are generous. Madras can make you sweat so if you're not a fan of spicy food maybe consider something else. Prices are average.

I left licking my fingers, never ate so much. Met the chef and kissed his hands, I told him best curry I ever had. Best in York have to try them!
Superb food. Excellent service. Well worth a visit.

Good experience. Our orders were complete and the quality was up to scratch. The staff were pleasant and courteous. The Big Daddy Box is BACK! It's lovely and a good bargain. Will be back for more finger lickin' chicken 🐔🍗🍟🍦🍽️😀
Quick service but tiny eating area. I made the mistake of arriving right as school was getting out, so the restaurant quickly filled with teenagers. I felt like I had to inhale my food as several people were eyeing my table.

I cannot praise this place enough o love it the company has actual morals and ethics and they serve a good filter coffee for 49p (if you take a reusable cup) it's great and more companies should take a leaf out of there book!
Great place for a quick snack! I would suggest the cheese ploughman's baguette, very tasty.
