13 Parliament Street, North Yorkshire, York YO1 8RS, UK – 0345 740 4404
The staff were so much more helpful than any other bank I've been to in York. As opposed to a week wait to get an appointment, I could see someone on the spot. All questions answered and were able to help instead of put up barriers. Thanks guys!
Never had a problem here. Only complaint would be long wait times but it's a city centre branch, it's to be expected.

I have had two implants carried out by Dr Glover and his team. I am delighted with the results and have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone considering dental implants. The process does require a few appointments and follow-ups but this was always easy to arrange as the reception staff are always friendly, efficient and a delight to deal with.
After discovering I needed dental implants I had The Mount & Dr Glover recommended to me by a neighbour. Despite living in Leeds I had a consultation with Dr Glover who explained that the process was going to be a complicated one as I needed some bone augmentation. Today, after nearly six months of treatment I have been fitted with my final implants and am absolutely delighted with how they look. Throughout the whole process my dealings with Dr Glover and his staff, the receptionists & dental nurses has been second to none and I would highly recommend this practice.

I would just like to say how amazed I have been by the quality of dentistry that I have received. I am a little nervous of the dentist, and I wanted to improve the look of my teeth. I cam for a free consultation, which I was really happy with. Dr Adam Glassford explained all the options available to me, including the pros and cons of each option in a no-nonsense way that I appreciated. After treatment, my teeth look absolutely great, amazing actually and they look 100% natural - which was the whole aim. Thank you Adam, Michelle and Carmel, and all the team. I would definitely recommend.
I had treatment a few weeks ago, I am very chuffed to bits with my new smile. I had whitening done and an implant in a gap I used to hate. They are all great, helpful, kind and professional. I know smile with happiness... Dr Glassford, his nurse and that young lady in the pod ...what a dream team!

Happened to visit the practice twice in a week due to issues with my gums. My first appointment was with Chris and my second one was with Sarah. Both very professional, helpful and friendly. Same for the ladies at the reception!
Have had 2 bad experiences at dental practices in the past which has made me frightened of going but since Paul has taken over my care he is slowly gaining my confidence and making me slightly less nervous of attending for check ups and treatment. Paul explains what he is doing and keeps checking you are OK, the staff who work with him are also very kind and considerate. Keep up the good work Paul and please do not leave.

I visited the York clinic after seeing their before and after photos on their Instagram and thinking how amazing their work was. Today I had the Tear Trough Filler procedure and it’s truely exceeded my expectations. In the consultation beforehand everything was explained to me and it was very clear to see they are very experienced in their work and knew exactly how to achieve what I was after. During the treatment I was reassured the whole time and very well looked after. I am so happy with my results, I’m definitely going back again in the future and recommending them to anyone who is thinking of getting anything done. They really know how to enhance your beauty in the most natural way! Thank you so much Skin Doctor Clinics ! See you again soon!
Very professional. With great results.I've had the same treatments elsewhere ,but they have been no comparison to here.
Priory Medical Centre, Cornlands Rd, York YO24 3WX, UK – 01904 781423
We have been with the surgery for 25 years, having moved here in 1992. I have always received excellent service from them. The Dr's are exceptional. My husband, now adult youngsters and I health care has always been taken seriously with compassion and respect. My Husband, our 2nd son and I see the Dr's on a regular basis because of ongoing health issues. We see specific Dr's for regular treatment, who we have built up a relationship with over the years. We also have an arrangement for direct contact to our Dr through reception if necessary. You can get urgent appointments on the day if it is an emergency, call backs by the duty Dr etc. Cornlands Road has an pharmacy attached which makes life much easier. You can also make telephone appointments as well as normal appointments. Overall there services have grown over the years with the introduction of technology for such as online appointments, text appointment reminders, prescription order and so on. I would have given a 5/5 and it is 5/5 for the Dr's service however sometimes I struggle with telephone/reception difficulties as there has been alot of changes on that side in recent years. That it is though probably down to me as the surgery has grown in size and the first point of call is not always easy as I don't know the front of the staff like I used too Make your appointments in advance. If there is none available and you want to see a specific Dr ask when they are next available and get used to ringing in advance, else it is harder to see the Dr you want too. I will add there is usually a bit of a wait to see certain Dr's, when you go for your appointment, however that is down to the popularity of some of the Dr's and that they don't rush you in and out
Drs receptionsits as unhelpful as ever bit the doctors care and are helpful

I cannot rate this hospital highly enough. The cardiologists I've seen have been absolutely amazing. Dr Gupta is one of the nicest, kindest, best doctors I have ever met and he spends so much time really helping you and understanding what the problem is. He is a remarkable person. Dr Hayes also recently arranged a stress test for me and was very kind and accommodating with me, arranging for me to have the test then come straight over to Nuffield with the results so we could go over them before he went on leave as he knew I was suffering from severe anxiety. I very much appreciated his help and both doctors have been fab at arranging test for me when needed. I recently requested copies of my medical records from Nuffield and the lady that dealt with it was incredibly efficient and helpful but I can't remember her name :( Whenever I come to clinic, the lady upstairs on reception always greets me with a friendly smile which is appreciated as I'm sometimes very stressed when I come in. All the nurses are friendly and approachable. It is a lovely atmosphere in the hospital so it doesn't really feel like a hospital. Follow up letters to my gp has always been quick and I don't believe I've ever had to wait even a week for an appintment. I would strongly recommend to have cardiology services here, they have helped me immensely over the last few years.
The aftercare I received following my knee operation was absolutely appalling, I was informed to "check on the internet" because the surgeon neglected to inform me of the what he had actually done to my knee and whether I was to use crutches or not. I left the hospital with no stick or crutches, holding onto my friend's arm and the wall, in tears and pain, in order to leave the hospital. Except for the receptionist no-one came to my assistance! Having said that, once I was actually seen by a physio therapist, the care, imparting of knowledge and management of my progress has been outstanding.

This hospital is an excellent hospital with great staff, they are always keen to help and show genuine care and compassion. Of course you will always encounter the odd person who could do better but overwhelmingly as a whole unit the hospital and all who work there are excellent. As with all hospitals parking is expensive but at least in this case it’s plentiful. If you’re visiting a child on paediatrics then they’ll validate your ticket so you can park free.
hospital is spotlessly clean. My first time at York hospital for a minor operation. Big shout out to staff nurse Marsh on ward 27 who was just lovely and attentive also to Dean and Francine(think that's her name) on PACU who had to put up with me for a few hours longer than expected due to a mix up with beds but again we're lovely. very positive experience.

Lively and challenging worship, but no Palm Sunday hymns on Palm Sunday!

The York Viking Market was located here this year, and likely will be next year. A very sweet building, with its painted glass windows, the enclosed pews and aura of times past. Loved it!
Definitely worth taking the time and trouble to seek this out. This is a beautiful old church, totally hidden from view. You would never chance upon it accidentally unless you're exploring the snickleways.
Acomb Rd, York YO24 4HA, UK – 01904 786783
Two of my children were married there. Something very special about this church. Very child-friendly. Very accepting of people from all walks of life including those with special educational needs.. Lots of great activities for all ages. I feel so much happier when I attend.
The church is true

Many skips for different types of waste. They also have dedicated areas for paper, clothing, chemicals, small electrical items and tv's and monitors. It's a very popular site so you sometimes have to queue to get in but the queue clears at a steady pace so you don't have to wait too long. There are several council workers on site to advise and /or assist you as necessary.
At weekends and bank holidays there can be very long queue's waiting to use this recycling facility. However once in the staff and facilities are very good.

The location, the meal and the service were first class. The meals arrived quickly, piping hot and full of flavour. The staff were very informed about all items on the menu. I couldn't fault anything.
Thank you so much Delrio's for a wonderful evening last night for our Valentine's Date night. The customer service was second to none and the staff made us feel very welcome and looked after all night, which in turn made the atmosphere in the resturaunt just perfect and everyone dining in there looked like they were having a lovely evening just like us!! My partner had the Baby Octopus and I had the chicken/mushroom Cannelloni and the food was absolutely delicious. We will be returning very soon. Thank you all so much for making a very rare night out for us very special

Excellent service, the waiting staff had a great deal of knowledge on the menu. The food is delicious with a wide section to choose from., also new foods I have never come across... Like heritage potatos which are potatoes of different colours.. But taste the same... I would definitely recommend this restaurant and is ideal for dates, groups of friends. I wish I could give this more than 5 stars as this restaurant is worth more. Very happy
One of York's top restaurants with an excellent fish centric menu of high quality dishes. Booked a couple of days before and were still able to get a table at eight on Saturday night. Arrived about 20 minutes to eight and had a drink at the bar, the place was full so the booking had been a must. A warm welcome from the manager (I think) and we were shown to our table. We both went for the Scottish king scallops to start followed by one seafood grill and one king prawn Malabar curry, with a chrisp Chablis. All were delicious and delivered to the table without delay. An excellent evening out, highly recommended.

Superb meal! Delighted with new menu. Knowledgeable attentive service. Always know the house wines are carefully chosen and good quality. A proper foodie experience at affordable prices.
Amazing food presented and served with style. With all the "little extras" it's great value for money. Thank you Lucy and team.

This is a fantastic local school attended by both of my children. Despite its age, the school is very much in the modern age, with great facilities and supportive teaching. They have good Ofsted results and the teachers b go out of their way to help develop children. During parent teacher meetings, I've noticed the feedback I gave to teachers was acted on quickly. A great school from all perspectives
I love this school it is phenomenal! Thank you to all the amazing staff and children for everything they have done 👩👩👩😀😀😀

I would certainly get my children into Knavesmire Primary School. Voted best Primary School in York, it has fantastic sports facilities and great teachers. Built in WWI the school includes a Library, a MUGA (Multi Use Games Area), a big hall, separate classrooms for years 1,2,3,4,5,6 and Morning and afternoon Nursery not forgetting Reception, a huge playground and Zonepark. Zonepark is a class such as years 4, 5 or 6 being put into groups and looking after the equipment in the playground. There is a separate playground for Reception and Nursery which makes playtimes more fun. There are 3 playtimes for the children to enjoy. School starts at 10 to 9 and all pupils must be in the classroom by 9. The first playtime is after assembly (only on certain days) around 10:35 the playtime finishes at 11:00. Lunch is at 12:00 and years Reception, 1 and 2 enter the canteen first with there packed lunches. All hot dinners (all years) will got to the canteen as-well and have there dinners. At 12:15 year 3 will go in and have there lunch but only year 3 because others will still be eating. At 12:30 the rest of the school will have there lunch. The proper playtime will run from 12:00 till 1:10. The last playtime is at 2:15 till 2:30. School finishes at 3:15 fo years 1, 2 and Reception at 3:25 years 3, 4, 5 and 6 finish. I would go and see the school and get my children into it at whatever it takes if I was in your shoes!

Not just a school, but a community. From birth (Gentle Beginnings), through the toddler years (Parent & Child Groups), pre-school (Kindergarten) to the Main School (age 6 - 14) York Steiner School offers a nurturing environment and a rounded education. Highly recommended.
Best school ever.
49-57 Bootham, York YO30 7BU, UK – 01904 623261
As parents we find Bootham School brimming with many qualities, there is a calming atmosphere punctuated with a strong sense of purpose,- forming a perfect baseline to facilitate learning and self confidence. "Adventurous & Liberating" is the School mantra. Our two children have made some wonderful friends and from starting Bootham in year seven, have never looked back. The teaching staff are supportive and motivating. The activities after 1600 hrs add another dimension to the learning and development of children, giving them a taste of things they (and we) would probably never think of in the fast paced world in which we live. Finally, the food is consistently of the highest quality and the children (& us on Saturdays),look forward to every meal !
As a former pupil, I cannot sing their praises high enough. I came from a school (St Olaves) where I was bullied for many years. I was generally miserable and had low self confidence. Bootham brought me out of that shell. The teachers were all lovely, I may not have liked every subject, but i still liked the teachers. The ethos and attitude of staff and pupils quickly formed me into a totally different more caring person. I was much happier, my grades rose and I joined as many after school activities as I could. At my previous school I never wanted to stay longer than I had to. At Bootham I never wanted to leave. School lunches were also amazing, In the 7 years since I left I have tried to keep my home food as varied and healthy as the lunches I got at school. Friends and family love the food I make and I still don't think it is as good as my school food was. I wasn't the only pupil to go to Bootham after being bullied, I think it attracts a lot of kids who are kind and bright but have been stifled through adverse experiences. I would highly recommend it for anyone who is more introverted and wants to develop in a caring and protective environment which still prepares you for the world ahead. My friends and employers have commented on how kind and hard working I am. These are qualities I am certain I formed during my time at Bootham. In the sixth form they give you more freedom and if staff think you are capable they stop spoon feeding information. Deferring to guiding your own research. This was a invaluable skill when it came to university.
